Cry. Run. Move on.
That’s the strategy sometimes.
Not because you’re pretending it doesn’t hurt.
Not because you’re above disappointment.
Not because you’re trying to be inspirational about something that genuinely feels awful.
But because some days don’t need a full life analysis.
Some days just need movement.
Cry because it was hard.
Run because your body needs somewhere to put the stress.
Move on because staying stuck won’t change what happened.
Things don’t always go well.
The application gets rejected.
The opportunity falls through.
The plan doesn’t work.
The exam goes badly.
The conversation disappoints you.
The thing you wanted doesn’t happen.
And yes, you can feel it.
You can be upset.
You can be frustrated.
You can take a minute to be dramatic in private.
But then you have to come back to yourself.
Not every setback needs to become an identity.
Not every bad day deserves a full collapse.
Not every disappointment is a sign that you’re failing.
Sometimes the most practical thing you can do is regulate your nervous system, get outside, move your body, clear your head, and decide what the next step is.
Cry.
Run.
Move on.
Not because it doesn’t matter.
Because you still do.
